SUMMONS AND COMPLAINT | DEMANDA DE DESALOJO

If you receive a Summons and Complaint for Unlawful Detainer, we can help you by preparing an Answer and filing it in the court. Please bring the Summons and Complaint to our office as soon as possible, as you must respond to the court within five days which includes weekends. If the fifth day is a weekend or court holiday, the deadline is the following business day. It is essential that you respond to the lawsuit regardless of the basis of the case or any of the facts.

Answer forms are available at the clerk’s office located at the court address listed on the Summons and Complaint.

We strongly recommend that you obtain professional help in drafting your answer.

If you do not respond at all, your landlord can get a money judgment against you and the sheriff could come and change your locks within 2 weeks.

RESPUESTA A UNA DEMANDA DE DESALOJO
