Step 7: Late Filing Options (if you're late to the party)

If you cannot come to our office by our deadlines, here are some options:

• Use the Tenant Power Toolkit* or visit a Self-Help Center.
• After filing your Answer, you have 10 calendar days to amend it.
• Demand a jury trial and file fee waivers: FW-001 & FW-002.
• Attend our “How to Respond to Summons & Complaint” class on Wednesdays at 12 PM.
